The whole reason this blog was put up in the first place was to hopefully drive lots of curious visitors to the main website.
Once there, they will be able to see what's going on in terms of new free to read articles, resources and information to help anyone coming into the business of Internet Marketing to get started and do things the right way and at least stand a chance of succeeding in this cut-throat business!
Well it wasn't long before I realised that it made more sense from a traffic and popularity point of view to set up this blog on the main host, which I did. But I didn't delete this one, because I came to the conclusion back then that it would still have some value in terms of helping the main site and its new blog with its traffic flow.
To some extent it has, but I made the mistake of leaving this to stew for a few months with no new entries and that was a shame, because had I kept up with this, it would now be a useful additional source of income from advertising.
Why, well as I mentioned in a previous post, this blog managed to get a PR1 from Google, which, while not a massive accolade was at least better than the blog on the main host ever got. Which meant that any links from here to the main site carried a little more weight and could help with the rating over there.
Well, maybe it will be enough to tip the balance in the right direction - we'll see.
For now, it's still worth keeping this blog fed with new posts because people do read it and will be curious to see the other blogs I author and hopefully learn a whole lot of stuff from my main The Honest Way site!
So if you haven't already been over to see what's new, so there now - you'll be pleasantly surprised!

A Little Honest Info
A short post to mention the recent success of the main site and its blog (and forum).
The Honest Way is getting over 200 visits a day now and most of that is attributed to the blog. The stats have been increasing every month since its inception, so I must be doing something right!
The Alexa rank for the whole site is around 113,000 and falling (lower is good), so that's also good news.
Still haven't picked up a page rank for the blog yet. How this one managed to even get a PR1 baffles me - hardly anything links to it! The Honest Way blog has been collecting back-links from all over the place in the last month or so. Hopefully, when Google next take a good hard look at it, they might give it some PR love!

First of the New Make Money Blogs
I've been busy just lately with the creation of some new blogs and websites. I'll concentrate on the first of my new "Make Money" blogs, called unsurprisingly, Make Money!
I built it as a subdomain of my Honest Way site to prove an SEO theory that I have, that having your main keywords in your domain name count plenty in your favour when fighting the "Battle of the Search Engines". So it was originally put together as a new website with an articles page, a resource page, sitemap etc, but while all the work to create it was going on, I made a further discovery that changed everything.
It was nothing really new or unknown, just something I hadn't really thought about or put into practice, but that blogs were the new thing with Google et al and they love them because they are a natural source of constantly updated and relevant content.
Add to that the business of Page Rank (or PR).
Take any website, and in the webmaster's efforts to gain a decent page rank, he will do a lot of off-site SEO as well as on-site SEO. The off-site SEO consists of gaining popularity through links from other relevant sites. But the thing about this is, that most sites, when they put up a link to your site, will naturally point those links to your homepage. All well and good, and in good time the page rank of that homepage will increase as Google sees fit.
But what about your blog? It is common with websites to have a corresponding blog - often hosted on a sub-page of the main site, like all the other sub-pages. These are generally not linked to from other websites, so their PR remains low or non-existent.
So if you want a decent page rank for your blog, you either have to do all that off-site SEO again for the blog page, or make the blog the homepage of the website in the first place. That way, visitors to your site hit the blog first and read all your new and constantly updated content. Then they can browse through your site's other pages as well if they want.
What has happened is that visitors to your site have made a mental note that the blog is of interest and will bookmark it or make a point of returning often to see what is new. Better for your site's traffic stats and better for your site's readers, as they are getting new content every time they visit. You get the page rank your blog deserves.
Win-win!

The Resurrection...
Ok, this blog sort of died for a while as I was concentrating on my other websites and blogs. But now I think it's time to do a bit of a resurrection on it and breathe some new life back into the old dog!
I have a few more sites dotted about the place now so I'll be updating the link list here as well as adding some bits and pieces of interest to rekindle the popularity this once had. I'll link back here from my sites as well because although it has a close sister over at the main Honest Way website, the posts here will be different. That's mainly to avoid duplicate content, but also to widen the scope of my readership.
So watch out - here I come again!!!!
