Now you can opt-in!

It's taken longer than I expected - and this was supoosed to be ready last Sunday when the site went live - but today saw the implementation of the sacred opt-in form on my homepage! I've been preaching this in my eighth article about the several ways in which your business can fail. One of them is failure to build a list.

Oh well, ho hum, stammer, mumble... Not good enough, is it?

That glaring omission has at last been put right and I now have the required opt-in box especially for the purpose. Well, now I can sleep at night.

Another change to the site has been the big move of the member's forum from the freehosting server over to my own at HostGator. The reasons for this are few but important.

1. My own server guarantees better uptime.

2. By occupying a page on the website, site traffic will increase.

3. Content will continuously be added and changed. Search engines like that!

4. More people will get to know about my site through word of mouth (or post!)

All in all a very good move, methinks! Now at the moment, there are, of course no members on the forum as it hasn't been advertised yet. That is about to change. My next awsome task is to visit every forum and message board I know and welcome all comers to my forum.

They'll come.

In dribs and drabs at first, granted, but come they will. Why? Because I have created a forum thread purely for blatant ads to be posted - the only proviso being you have to register first. Plenty of marketers will do that purely because it is another place to advertise for free and we all do it. But some will stop and post meaningful topics too and the serious side of the forum will gradually grow.

As traffic to the forum grows, content will increase and change more rapidly, the search engines will like it even more and the site's rating will also improve. Good theory, no?

So that's about all for today's post. Lots of exciting things happening and more looming on the horizon for The Honest Way.

Article Writing

As part of the promotion of THE HONEST WAY, I submit articles to Ezine Articles on a regular basis.

The reason for this is that lots of people read through the list of articles posted there and will come across my informative articles. These articles contain a link back to The Honest Way. Should the reader be sufficiently impressed with the content of the article they just read (and I'm sure they will), they will click the link and head over to The Honest Way to see what it's all about out of curiosity.

That visitor might already be thinking about purchasing a product or service to help them with their online business in some way, be it getting started, boosting sales, attracting visitors to their website etc. So when they see the list of great products and services on offer at The Honest Way, they'll be tempted to click on the one that most suits their needs to get more information from the owner of that product or service. Should they go on to purchase the product or service, The Honest Way benefits with affiliate commission from the sale, the owner of the product makes another sale and the buyer has a great product to help them with their online business.

That sounds like a win-win-win situation!

Isn't that what an internet business should be achieving all the time?

Forums are great places to meet people and get acquainted with new friends online. Forums that concentrate on how to make money online are springing up all over the place so I thought it wouldn't hurt to add another one to the growing army of member's forums hatching out all over cyberspace.

One More Day...

Just Five Days To Go...

Yep, it's just five days to go until THE HONEST WAY website goes live. There are now three articles posted to the articles page with a new one per day to follow until 18th March.

After the site is officially LIVE, I will continue to add articles and submit more articles to e-zine articles in order to boost the site's online presence. I am also lining up more honest products to promote on the products page. I'm very excited about this website and have high hopes for its success in the coming weeks, months and years.

Hi everybody! We're into day two of the pre-launch phase of our super new internet marketing experience... THE HONEST WAY website.

Today's blog instalment is to let you all know that I have posted the second article in the series to the website and it's entitled "Finding Your Online Business".

The article makes you want to put your thinking cap on and get your brain juices flowing! It starts you thinking about what you want your online business to be. A rather important step, would you not agree?

I'm also in a bit of a thinking rut myself at the moment. I need to add some good, honest products to my affiliate list, but I'm having a bit of a struggle to find the most suitable ones. If anyone has any suggestions, I'm all ears! But please don't bombard me with stuff that is not 100% honest - after all, if it doesn't pass the honesty grade, it won't get into the site!

With day two almost gone already, I'm getting prepared for tomorrow's additions to the website. There will be the next article in the series, plus another product added to the list.

Its Pre-Launch Open Day

It's time to officially open the site to it's week long pre-launch.

The main page along with products, articles, links, contact and site map pages are online now and can be viewed. I've added the first article (entitled "Where Do You Start") and also a contact email address should anyone want to email me with any suggestions or improvements to the site.

It begins...

New Website

Here's announcing the imminent arrival of a brand new website of the same name. Release Date is expected to be Sunday 18th March 2007, although there will be a limited access pre-release on Sunday 11th March.

Hi, I'm Terry Didcott and I'm the author and creator of TheHonestWay.com. The website will highlight honest ways to make a living online. There will be an extensive article section covering the many products, strategies, plans and pitfalls associated with setting up and running an honest online business.

By honest, I mean an online business that is free of scams, rip-offs and underhand tricks to get people to part with their hard-earned money. An honest online business means selling useful products or ebooks for reasonable prices and delivering what you say you'll deliver!

Too many websites abound that are simply put up with a bit of useless content in order to earn revenue from advertising. They don't offer anything to the browser in terms of real value but still try to push products and services that are second-rate and expensive just to try to scam the newcomers to the internet marketing scheme.

The website sets out from the start to provide plenty of good, useful and free information about setting up an online business THE RIGHT WAY as well as promoting only those products that are useful to online entrepeneurs be they from anywhere in the scale from seasoned professionals right down to absolute beginners.
